CLCF Nature Series: The Ice Age Trail Alliance

On September 12, 2024, CLCF hosted guest speakers Kevin Thusius and Chad DuChateau from the Ice Age Trail Alliance (IATA) as part of its Nature Series. CLCF’s Nature Series is sponsored by the Ziegler Family Foundation in memory of R.D. Ziegler.
Kevin Thusius, Senior Director of Land Conservation, and Chad DuChateau, Director of Trail Operations, shared the fascinating history of the Ice Age Trail, which passes through CLCF’s Lockman and Girl Scouts properties, as well as the WDNR’s Polk Kames property. They also spoke about upcoming plans for the trail and their partnership with CLCF, including future trail extensions that will help get Ice Age Trail hikers off the road.
CLCF extends heartfelt thanks to the Town of West Bend for providing the Town Hall as a venue and to Kevin and Chad for their insightful presentation. We were thrilled to see so many supporters at this fall talk and look forward to continuing to work with the IATA to improve access to the trail in the future!
