We maintain our tree plantings annually, and it’s the West property’s turn. We have a small tree and shrub planting here that was tubed (or fenced) and could use a check-up. This will consist of removing any debris from the tubes, removing ones that no longer have a viable tree in them, or re-zip tying the tube back to the stake.
I predict these tree protection efforts won’t take the whole time, so once we finish the tubes, we can turn our attention to some encroaching Autum Olive. These invasive shrubs are still small enough here to cut with loppers and treat the stumps.
