Welcome to spring. We have an interesting window of time before Garlic Mustard comes up and after treating Buckthorn becomes ineffective due to sap flow going up towards the buds in preparation for the growing season. So, it is the perfect time to focus on our tree plantings with a little tree tube maintenance! 

This workday will consist of removing some tubes on trees in the back field of Timmers, as well as re-attaching zip ties or pounding in stakes. It is also helpful to slightly lift up the tubes and brush out any leaf debris that accumulates, in order to give the smaller trees their best shot at growth this spring and summer. 

When & Where: The CLCF Timmers Property, on Thursday March 26th from 9-11 AM. Please park along the road shoulder on Timmers Bay Rd, West Bend WI 53095. See map below.

Bring: A pair of work gloves. A box cutter or pocketknife may be helpful when removing the tree tubes as well!
