As I’m sure many of you have noticed, Garlic Mustard season is in full swing (and flowering already- wow). We will be pulling this invasive species from the same areas we’ve been working on in the past, in order to maximize the effect of our efforts. I’m extremely encouraged by the areas I’ve looked at already this spring, where there is a noticeable difference in Garlic Mustard compared to last year!
When & Where: Fox Hill Nature Preserve from 9-11 AM on Thursday, May 7th. Parking is available in the gravel lot at 4214 Sleeping Dragon Road, West Bend, WI 53095.
Bring: A good pair of work gloves. If you prefer to kneel when pulling, a pair of kneepads may help prevent your pants from getting slightly wet at the knee.
